Hamas hands over more Israeli hostage remains, notes recovery challenges

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced via their official Telegram channel on Wednesday that it has chosen to hand over the bodies of two Israeli captives in the Gaza Strip as part of the prisoner exchange deal.

The handover took place on Wednesday, at 10:00 PM (Cairo time).

“The Resistance has fulfilled its commitment to the agreement by handing over all the living captives in its custody and all the bodies it could access. However, the remaining bodies require significant efforts and specialized equipment for searching and extraction, and we are exerting great effort to close this file.”

Separately, the Israeli Army announced earlier on Wednesday, that forensic examinations at the Institute of Forensic Medicine revealed that the fourth body which Hamas transferred to Israel on Tuesday, “does not match any person from the Israeli hostages.”
