
The 10th edition of the “Hal Helalak” program, organized by Theater Sector under the direction of Hisham Atwa, will launch at 8:00 pm on Saturday February 28 at the Open-Air Theater of Hanager Arts Center, at Cairo Opera House.
The program will run until Friday, March 13.
Senate member Khaled Galal will direct the opening ceremony of the 10th edition.
The ceremony will include a celebration of the 10th of Ramadan victory anniversary of the October 1973 war and the honoring of a group of heroes of the October War victory, and those artists who participated in the victory.
The awards for the eighth season of “Ana al-Masry” (I Am Egyptian) competition will also be presented, accompanied by the George Qolta Orchestra.
The program’s events include performances by a constellation of singing stars.
Artist Maher Mahmoud will perform on March 2, followed by the renowned religious singer Mohamed al-Kahlawy on Friday, March 6.
Religious singer Mahmoud al-Tohamy will conclude the program events on March 13.
The National Theater Company will also participate with the masterpiece puppet show “Al-Leila El-Kebira” (The Grand Night), based on the work of poet Salah Jaheen and composer Sayed Mekawy.
Produced by the Cairo Puppet Theater under the direction Osama Mohamed Ali, the show will be performed daily throughout the program.
