The long-running comedic feud between the Focker and Byrnes clans is officially reigniting as Universal Pictures prepares to roll out “Focker-In-Law”, the next chapter in the hit “Meet the Parents” franchise. The film is slated to debut across North American cinemas on November 25, followed immediately by its Egyptian theatrical release on November 26.
Arriving more than a decade after 2010’s “Little Fockers”, the PG-13 comedy sees Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro step back into their iconic roles as the perpetually anxious Greg Focker and his stern, ex-CIA father-in-law Jack Byrnes.
A new generation takes center stage
This latest entry shifts the comedic spotlight onto Greg and Pam’s now-grown son, Henry Focker (Skyler Gisondo). The family dynamic hits a fresh wall of chaos when Henry decides to settle down with Olivia Jones, played by franchise newcomer Ariana Grande.
Olivia, a former FBI hostage negotiator, brings her own high-stakes family baggage to the table. As wedding bells approach, the clash between the two households sparks a fresh series of covert suspicions, awkward misunderstandings, and classic Focker mayhem—placing Greg in the unfamiliar position of playing mediator between the old guard and the new generation.
Ensemble cast and creative team
Alongside Stiller, De Niro, Gisondo, and Grande, the film brings back beloved franchise veterans including Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo, while introducing new additions Beanie Feldstein and Eduardo Franco.
Director John Hamburg, who co-wrote the original three “Meet the Parents” installments, returns to steer the franchise as both writer and director. Hamburg developed the screenplay from a story co-crafted with Ilana Glazer and Austen Earl. The production team brings together industry heavyweights, with Jane Rosenthal, Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, John Lesher, Jay Roach, and John Hamburg serving as producers.
