A seventh season of the comedy series “Al-Kebeer Awy” is now underway for a Ramadan 2023 release.
The show’s latest episode ended with the message “Goodbye and see you in season seven of Ramadan 2023”, serving as an official announcement.
Season six featured the likes of Ahmed Mekky, Rahma Ahmed, Mohamed Salam, Bayoumy Fouad, Hisham Ismail, Sama Ibrahim, Mohamed Otaka, with a special guest of honor every two episodes.
These include Maged al-Kidwany, Hamdy al-Merghany.
Season six was written by Mustafa Saqr, and directed by Ahmed al-Gendy.
The first season debuted in 2010 to great success, becoming a prominent stable of the Ramadan TV season.
Its four other seasons aired in 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2015.
The series events revolve around the mayor of the village of “Mazarita”, who discovered that he had two twin brothers, leading to various wacky situations.
