Cairo factory owner confesses over assaulting security guard

The Public Prosecution on Saturday ordered the arrest of a factory owner for four days pending investigations, on charges of assaulting a security guard inside a residential compound in the Fifth Settlement area, Cairo, and verbally abusing one of the residents.

The Fifth Settlement Police department received a report on Thursday from a security guard at the residential compound, stating that he had been assaulted by one of the residents, resulting in abrasions all over his body.

The department also received another report from a unit owner in the same compound, who complained that the accused had verbally abused him when he confronted him on the incident.

Following legal procedures, the accused was apprehended and identified as a factory owner.

Upon questioning the suspect confessed to the incident, justifying his actions by claiming he was upset that the security guard was not performing his duties and objecting to the other owner’s intervention.

The necessary legal measures were taken, and the Public Prosecution assumed investigations,  issuing its aforementioned decision to detain the accused for four days pending further investigation.
