The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has refuted reports claiming that Egypt has raised visa fees from US$ 25 to $45.
The ministry in a statement confirmed that these reports are completely false and that no executive decisions have been made regarding increasing visa fees.
The only decisions taken so far have been to set a maximum limit for visa fees, not to implement an increase.
The statement emphasized that these reports are merely rumors, and reiterated that any information related to visas or other matters will be announced, as usual, through official statements issued by the relevant government authorities.
“The ministry urges all media outlets and social media users to verify information and contact official sources before publishing any information on this matter,” the statement concluded.
