Egypt’s market gains LE4.8 bn on Thursday, EGX30 rises 2.4%

Egypt's stock market extended its gains on Thursday, as the benchmark EGX30 index rose 2.42 percent to 6,568 points with a turnover of LE483 million, the Egyptian Exchange data showed.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index and the broader EGX100 index increased 2.02 percent and 1.4 percent, respectively.

Foreign and Arab institutions were net sellers recording net flows of LE13.6 million and LE5.1 million respectively, while local institutions were net buyers recording net flows of LE38.6 million.

The EGX market gained LE4.77 billion (US$609 million), hitting LE4423.12 billion, compared to Wednesday's LE418.35 billion.
