Egypt’s market gains LE5.3 bn on Wednesday, EGX30 rises 1.8 %

Egypt's stock market rebounded on Wednesday session, supported by a global equities rally, according to Reuters.

The benchmark EGX30 index rose 1.82 percent to 7,050.02 points, with a turnover of LE332 million, the Egyptian Exchange data showed.

The small and mid-cap EGX70 index and the broader EGX100 index increased 2.05 percent and 1.4 percent, respectively.

Local and foreign institutions were net sellers recording net flows of LE3.6 million and LE16.2 million respectively, while Arab institutions were net buyers recording net flows of LE4.4 million.

The EGX market gained LE5.29 billion (US$678 million), hitting LE440.10 billion, compared to Tuesday's LE434.81 billion.
