Egypt’s market loses $3.5 bn in a week, EGX30 index drops 10%

Egypt's stock market witnessed heavy losses of US$3.5 billion this week, as all indexes dropped, Egyptian Exchange data showed.
 
The main EGX30 index, small and mid-cap EGX70 index and the broader EGX100 index plunged 9.75 percent, 8.01 percent and 7.67 percent, respectively.
 
EGX market capital lost LE27.1 billion ($3.5 billion), to hit LE425.2 billion, compared to LE452.3 billion last week.
