Egypt’s market loses LE2.1 bn on Monday, EGX30 declines 1%

Egypt's market closed in the red zone during Monday's session, as the benchmark EGX30 index declined  0.99 percent to 7,653 points with a turnover of LE543 million, the Egyptian Exchange data showed.
 
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index and the broader EGX100 index went down 0.82 percent and 0.71 percent, respectively.
 
Arab and local institutions were net sellers recording net flows of LE34.7 million and LE10.3 million, respectively, while foreign institutions were net buyers recording net flows of LE27.7 million.
 
The EGX market lost LE2.09 billion (US$260 million), hitting LE457.60 billion, compared to Sunday's LE459.69 billion.
