Egypt’s market loses LE8.5 billion on Wednesday, EGX30 down 2.1%

Egypt's market extended its heavy losses on Wednesday's session, as the benchmark EGX30 index fell 2.13 percent, recording 7,240.77 points and a turnover of LE487 million, Egyptian Exchange data showed.
 
Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap EGX70 index and the broader EGX100 index declined 1.26 percent and 1.65 percent, respectively.
 
Foreign and Arab institutions were net sellers, recording net flows of LE69.7 million and LE28.4 million, respectively, while local institutions were net buyers, recording net flows of LE84.3 million.
 
The EGX market capital lost LE8.5 billion (US$1.1 billion), hitting LE447.63 billion, compared to LE456.13 billion on Tuesday.
