Egypt has harshly condemned Israel’s blatant aggression against Qatar, which targeted the political office of the Hamas movement in the Qatari capital, Doha.
In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt said that the aggression is a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter and a disregard for international rules and norms.
It affirmed its complete solidarity and full support for the leadership, government, and people of Qatar in the face of this heinous aggression.
“Israel’s aggressive approach clearly reflects a deliberate intention to destroy all opportunities for de-escalation, a ceasefire, and reaching an agreement to release hostages, as well as a complete absence of any political will on the Israeli side to move towards peace and to continue its aggression and systematic violations of international law.”
It has firmly condemned any form of aggression against the territories of Arab nations, emphasizing that the security and stability of Qatar are a fundamental cornerstone of Arab national security.
It added that any threat to Qatar’s security represents an extremely dangerous development that cannot possibly be justified.
Egypt warned of the severe repercussions of this brutal and unprecedented attack, and the serious risks it poses to regional stability. It said this action undermines de-escalation efforts and expands the scope of confrontations at the expense of civilian safety and stability.
Egypt has also warned all regional and international parties about Israel’s reckless policy, which aims to expand the circle of conflict and undermine all peace gains from past decades.
