EgyptAir has suspended all flights from Cairo to several major regional hubs effective immediately, citing “rapid regional developments” and the subsequent closure of airspace in neighboring countries.
In a statement released Saturday, the national carrier confirmed that service to 13 cities will remain halted until further notice as tensions in the region escalate.
The suspension covers several regional destinations, including:
- Qatar: Doha
- Bahrain
- Saudi Arabia: Qassim, Dammam
- Iraq: Erbil, Baghdad
- Jordan: Amman
- Lebanon: Beirut
- Oman: Muscat
