Egypt’s military approves budget

Egypt’s ruling military council approved the budget for the fiscal year that starts on July 1, state media reported on Monday.

The government plans to finance the budget deficit by borrowing 120 billion Egyptian pounds (US$20 billion) domestically and relying on grants and gifts for 14.3 billion pounds, Al-Ahram newspaper reported, citing a spokesman for the prime minister
