Egypt’s parliament approves new cabinet reshuffle

The House of Representatives approved the new cabinet reshuffle during its plenary session on Tuesday.

The Speaker of the House, Hesham Badawy, said that he received a letter from the president regarding the new formation.

Badawy added, “The reshuffle is approved by a majority of at least one-third of the members, and the President is notified accordingly.”

Reshuffled cabinet:

  • Hussein Eissa, Deputy Prime Minister for Economy.
  • Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, Minister of Health.
  • Kamel al-Wazir, Minister of Transport.
  • Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment.
  • Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad.
  • Mohamed Farid Saleh, Minister of Investment.
  • Abdel-Aziz Hassanein Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education.
  • Randa al-Menshawy, Minister of Housing.
  • Raafat Hindi, Minister of Communications.
  • Diaa Youssef Rashwan, Minister of Information.
  • Salah Mahmoud Suleiman, Minister of Military Production.
  • Hani Hanna Azer, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs.
  • Mahmoud al-Sherif, Minister of Justice.
