Military forces in Sinai discovered a secret storage area in Hasana used for explosives and arms, an Egyptian security source said on Monday.
Late on Sunday sacks full of explosives extracted from remains of missiles and bombs were seized, the source said.
No one was present near the store, and experts removed the explosives to get rid of them safely.
Egyptian authorities said last week that three Palestinians and an Egyptian were arrested in Arish for smuggling weapons into Gaza from Egypt.
