Families of cabinet sit-in martyrs demand retribution

The families of Mohamed Abdallah and Alaa Abdel Hady, who died during clashes outside the cabinet building on Friday, have demanded retribution for the deaths of the loved ones.

“Snipers killed my son in vain,” said Abdallah’s father at the funeral on Sunday, while his mother said she is happy her son is now with God.

His aunt said she saw his body in the morgue. “He was shot by a bullet in the neck and the chest,” she said, pointing to the autopsy report.

At Abdel Hady’s funeral, his father wore the white coat that his son used to wear as a student of medicine. He did not speak to anyone.

Abdel Hady's friends staged protests and held the military council responsible for his death.

A relative of the deceased, who is an army officer, tried to prevent journalists from taking pictures of the funeral.
