Gold prices stabilize in Egypt

Gold prices stabilized during trading on Tuesday following a decline on Monday, as the price of gold fell by an average of LE90 per gram.

 

Tuesday’s prices

  • 21 karat gold

The price of 21 karat gold stabilized in the local market to now reach LE 3,570 per gram, plus the making charges which range between LE100 to LE150.

  • 24 karat gold

The price of a 24 karat gold is at LE4,080 per gram.

  • 18 karat gold

The price of an 18 karat gold is at LE 3,060 per gram.

  • Gold coin

The price of a gold coin stabilized at LE28,560.

 

  • Making charges

The price for a gram of gold of all karats varies depending on the estimation of the stamp fee and making charges from one to another and from one jewelry store to another.

As for 21 karat gold, the most commonly traded, the stamp fee ranges from LE 30 to LE 65, and the making charges range from LE100 to LE150.
