Egyptian media host Ibrahim Fayek revealed details into coach Jose Riveiro’s salary at Al-Ahly Sporting Club and the date of his arrival in Cairo for the official signing.
Source within Ahly previously confirmed that: “There is a preliminary agreement between the club’s management and the Spanish coach for him to take over as team manager, succeeding Swiss coach Marcel Koller.”
“Ahly has finalized all agreements with Jose Riveiro, the former Orlando Pirates coach.”
He added, “The coach will arrive with his entire staff and five assistants. The coach and his entire assistant staff will receive US$ 1.5 million per year.”
“The coach will arrive in Egypt tomorrow (Tuesday) and will hold a meeting with Captain Mahmoud al-Khatib. The contract will be for two years, with the third year subject to agreement between both parties,” he concluded.
