Israeli airstrikes on Gaza leave 950 Palestinians dead, 5,000 injured

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that the number of deaths in the Gaza Strip from Israeli attacks has risen to 950, with 5,000 left injured.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that among the casualties were 490 children and women, killed in direct bombings of their homes by Israeli airstrikes.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs on Wednesday added that the number of internally displaced people in the Gaza Strip now exceeds 263,000 – the mass displacement is expected to rise further.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip continues to brutally commit crimes against humanity, as it targets residential neighborhoods.

According to the ministry, the displacement of thousands of Palestinians comes in line with the closure of crossings and cutting of water and electricity in the strip, showcasing the Israeli occupation’s desire to carry out the genocide of over two million citizens in the Gaza Strip.
