The goalkeeper of the Egyptian national team Mohamed Abu-Gabal won Man of the Match award in the match between Egypt and Senegal in the final of the African Nations Cup 2021, after losing to the Senegal 4-2 on penalties.

Abu-Gabal received the award in tears, after Egypt failed to win the 2021 African Cup of Nations.

Egypt lost the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations title to Senegal, 2-4 on penalties, in the final match of the tournament, at the Paul Biya Stadium in the Cameroonian capital, Yaounde on Sunday evening.
