Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola spent a vacation in Egypt with his family, touring across Cairo, Luxor and Aswan.

The Spanish coach and his family on Sunday morning went for half an hour hot balloon trip in Luxor.

After the trip, they set off on a trip to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Valley of the Kings, before embarking on a Nile cruise towards the south of Aswan Governorate, on a boat that was rented for several days on the Nile River.

The organizer of Guardiola’s trip Mohamed Othman told the “Nine pm” program in a phone interview on Saturday, that the reason for the trip was to fulfill a promise by Guardiola to his family that they would visit Egypt if he won the Champions League.

The official account of the Premier League on Twitter commented on Guardiola’s tour across Egypt.

“The writer of history at the fragrance of history,” the account said, referring to the ancient Egyptian civilization and also Guardiola’s making of history during the last season after he led Manchester City to win the English Premier League, the EFL Cup, and the Champions League.
