Temporary workers employed by the Ministry of Transport stormed the ministry offices on Sunday, hoping to meet with the minster and request him to appoint them on a permanent basis.
Ministry officials called the military police, who managed to convince the workers to end their protest on the understanding that Minister of Transport Atef Abdel Hamid would form a committee to discuss their demands.
The minister promised to meet with the protesters at a later date and discuss the issue with them.
