The Turkey’s Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, called on Sunday evening for Egyptian star Mohamed Salah to join Turkish club Besiktas during the current summer transfer window, citing her son’s wishes as the reason.
The minister confirmed that her son had sent Salah a message urging him to join Besiktas.
In an interview with the Turkish channel GZT, Mahinur stated, “I want Mohamed Salah to join Besiktas for my son’s sake, and we hope the deal will go through.”
Salah left Liverpool FC at the end of last season after spending nine seasons with the Reds.
