Mohamed Salah has won Liverpool’s Goal of the Month for April, according to an announcement by Liverpool FC on Saturday.
“Salah’s unstoppable strike against Chelsea has been voted Liverpool’s Goal of the Month. The Egyptian’s thunderbolt in the second half of the 2-0 victory at Anfield was a landslide winner in our poll on Liverpoolfc.com,” Liverpool FC said in a statement on its website.
Salah’s goal came from a powerful shot from outside the penalty area of Chelsea that settled in the top right-hand corner of the goalkeeper Kepa.
“ABSOLUTELY. PHENOMENAL. @MoSalah’s wonder strike against @ChelseaFC is April’s Goal of the Month,” Liverpool tweeted.
Salah took lead of the Premier League strikers after scoring two goals in Liverpool-Huddersfield Town match on April 26 which ended 5-1 on Anfield.
Salah is leading the scorers table with 21 goals, followed by Sergio Aguero with 20 goals and his team mate Sadiro Mane with 20 goals.
