
The Public Prosecution office in Alexandria is conducting comprehensive investigation into a Corniche microbus accident in the al-Shatby area which killed two people and left seven injured.
Security services at the Alexandria Security Directorate received a notification of the accident on the Alexandria Corniche (Army) Road towards Raml Station, after al-Shatby Casino in the Central District.
The Public Prosecution received a notification from al-Amiri University Hospital stating that two people died from severe injuries, and seven others were injured.
The deceased were transferred to the morgue at the Public Prosecution’s disposal.
Police and traffic officers immediately responded to the scene, along with six ambulances. An examination revealed that a microbus collided with the victims as they were crossing the road, due to the driver losing control of the steering wheel.
A report was filed at the Bab Sharqi Police Station, and the incident is being referred to the Public Prosecution for investigation.
