Two soldiers were wounded on Thursday evening when a planted bomb exploded in an armored security vehicle during a raid on terrorist cells in Sheikh Zuweid.
Mohamed Gomaa Mohamed, 20, and Ahmed Ramadan Saeed, 21, both from Assiut, were taken to the military hospital in Arish for treatment.
Security forces combed the surrounding areas in search of the culprits and more explosive devices.
