Hassan al-Bardisy, head of the Cairo Investigation Directorate, said 94,000 traffic tickets were issued in just 15 days for traffic violations including 1,387 tickets for driving in the wrong direction, 155 for motorcycles without license plates, 15 for Tuk-Tuks without license plates and 230 for double-parking.
He added that Muslim Brotherhood protests block streets, making it difficult for traffic police to do their job. “But we make detours for traffic to flow,” he said.
