EgyptAir offers tickets through installments

EgyptAir has started a new service, in collaboration with the National Bank of Egypt, that allows its clients to travel to any of its 70 destinations in 60 countries and pay for the ticket through installments.

The installments can be paid over a period from six to 12 months, at the lowest possible interest rate using the NBE credit cards.

Sherif Ezzat, EgyptAir chairman, said in a statement on Tuesday that the decision targets offering clients the best services to meet demands of all categories.

The partnership with NBR, according to Ezzat, is important to clients of both entities, given that both have huge histories either in serving the country economically or in fulfilling demands of its clients.

Regarding the timing of the offered service, Ezzat said this contributes to promoting tourism, especially as the Christmas and New Year's holidays are up-and-coming.

Last week, EgyptAir decided to liberalize the price of airline tickets in accordance with the policy of supply and demand, company president Safwat Mesallam announced.

Prices would be set in accordance with the rates offered by competitor airlines, he added. Ticket prices will vary from one trip to another and from one airline to the other.

EgyptAir suffered a cumulative loss that amounted to LE14 billion since the revolution of January 2011.
