Hot weather until mid-August

Wahid Seoudi, spokesperson for the Meteorological Agency, said extremely hot weather will continue until mid-August, adding that July and August are the hottest and most humid months of the year.
 
He attributed the heat wave to the seasonal Indian low elevation, adding that the average temperatures until mid-August in Cairo and the Delta are 37 to 39 degrees Celsius, 31 to 33 degrees in the coastal cities of the north, 41 to 42 degrees in Middle Egypt and 43 to 45 degrees in Upper Egypt.
 
Maximum temperatures expected on Tuesday: Cairo 37C, Alexandria 34C, Sharm el-Sheikh 42C, Luxor 44C, Aswan 46C.
