Policeman injured in clashes with Brotherhood in Minya

A policeman was taken to the Minya University Hospital in critical condition after he was assaulted and his weapon stolen by Brotherhood students on Monday.

The students were protesting against the death sentences issued against a number of Brotherhood supporters.
 
Also, Minya security services dispersed protests on the Cairo-Aswan highway with tear gas canisters and arrested two students for blocking it.
 
Meanwhile, security forces on Monday arrested 10 Brotherhood students at the University of Alexandria after clashing with the administrative guard.
 
In response to a request by the university president, the security forces had to enter campus to break up the clashes and prevent the students from going out to the streets.
