Egypt ranks best reputable Arab country in 2017: GFK survey

Egypt has the best reputation of Arab countries and the 40th best globally, according to a new global public perception survey conducted by market research institute GFK.

The survey, officially called the Anholt-GFK Nation Brands Index, measures global perceptions of 50 countries in the fields of exports, governance, culture, population, tourism, immigration, and investment.

It included interviews with 20,185 persons from 20 countries worldwide.

In the tourism field, Egypt ranked 22nd  globally, which is topped by Italy.

As to the overall global ranking, Germany regains its top position, replacing the United States which fell to place number six. France climbed to second place while United Kingdom maintained third place.

Japan jumps into the top five for the first time since 2011, standing fourth, equal with Canada.

Qatar came out on second place before Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates among the best reputable Arab countries.
