A shootout between Central Security Forces and arms smugglers in Rafah left one officer injured on Monday.

Security services had uncovered 89 anti-aircraft rounds and a rocket-propelled grenade left inside a cave in the Nakhl area when the confrontation occurred.

“While the recruit Mohamed Othman Ahmed, of the Central  Security troops, was securing the international sign no.36 at Rafah, he was shot during a shootout between security and smugglers.
