An Egyptian security source said that Israel received the body of a drowned Israeli citizen at Karam Salem border crossing Friday evening.

The body was found three days ago in the sea near Sheikh Zuwayed, 10 km away from the Gaza coastline.

A medical source told German news agency DPA that the body was transferred to the morgue of Arish Public Hospital, after which the prosecution carried out necessary investigations.

An Arish hospital source said the autopsy revealed that the man had received five gunshot wounds.

The killing took place in Israel or Gaza, after which the man’s body was carried towards Egyptian shores, the medical source said. The source added that according to the autopsy and North Sinai prosecutors, the man was killed five days ago.
