Four April 6 leaders released on bail

A North Giza Court released four April 6 Youth Movement leaders on LE2,000 bail each, over protesting in Cairo's Dokki neighborhood on December 21 without a permit.

The court ordered the arrest of four other defendants in the same case.

The four released defendants are accused of protesting without a permit, using fireworks, intimidating citizens and joining a group that seeks to suspend the constitution and law, prevent state institutions from exercising its duties and undermine public peace.

The four defendants are Mohamed Nabil, Mahmoud Hesham, Ayman Abdel Meguid and Sherif al-Rouby. They denied the charges during interrogation.
