The Egyptian presidency launched its own YouTube channel on Friday, with an inaugural video introducing the new ministers in the Cabinet headed by Hesham Qandil.

The channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/EgyptianPresidency) posted videos of the Interior, Foreign affairs and Utilities Ministers talking about themselves, their experiences and how they were appointed for a ministerial portfolio in President Mohamed Morsy’s Cabinet.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party was the first to report the creation of the channel. They said that the channel will show exclusive videos from the presidential palace.

Shortly after taking office, President Morsy had promised to launch an official website, which has yet to materialize. Right now Morsy depends on the presidency’s official Facebook page, as well as statements from spokesperson Yasser Ali to deliver news and information about the president to the public.
