Atiya Mohi Eddin, the head of the Kafr El-Sheikh drivers, said 450 drivers and their cars are detained in the city of Al-Qaara between Mossaed and Tubruk.
He said some of them called and told him elements of the Libyan army detained them to pressure the Libyan government to pay them their salaries.
Mahmoud Ashour, owner of a car, said the driver told him that the Libyan authorities detain the Egyptian cars and let other cars coming from Jordan or Syria pass.
