8 killed and 30 wounded in Cairo-Ismailia traffic accident

Eight people were killed and 30 others wounded Friday morning as a bus collided into two other vehicles on the Cairo-Ismailia road. Victims were taken to the Health Insurance Hospital in 10th of Ramadan City.
 
Egypt has the world’s highest traffic accidents rate, according to a World Health Organization report in November.
 
Egypt estimates an average of 13,000 are killed in road accidents every year.
 
Nearly 100,000 car accidents took place from 2008 to 2012, leaving nearly 33,000 dead and 155,000 injured, according to a government report released in March.
 
Traffic accidents are usually blamed on impetuous driving and bad road conditions.
