Morsy heads to Turkey to discuss bilateral relations, Syria

President Mohamed Morsy is traveling to Turkey Sunday for a 12-hour visit.

During his visit, Morsy will meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gül and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss bilateral relations, Morsy’s initiative for Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Iran to find a solution in Syria as well as the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.



Morsy will also tackle economic cooperation, focusing on the Turkish plan to bolster the Egyptian economy.



Morsy is also scheduled to attend the third general conference for the Justice and Development Party, the ruling party in Turkey.



This is the seventh foreign trip for Morsy since his election in June, having previously visited Saudi Arabia, China, Iran, Belgium, Ethiopia and the US.
