President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived at El Asmarat City in Cairo’s Mokattam neighborhood to attend a Ramadan Iftar banquet with its residents, local and community leaders and some members of the House of Representatives.
Upon his arrival, the president toured the El Asmarat Productive Families Exhibition, promising to see to it that the productive families’ needs of production equipment and machines will be secured.
He chatted with some of the residents about life in their new homes in El Asmarat City, built for the purpose to relocate and rehouse slum dwellers in Greater Cairo.
As will as he asserted his constant keenness to support handicrafters, check on them and know their needs, whether equipment, machines or places for their work or to display their products in order to provide everything they need.
This came during President Sisi’s visit to an exhibition of cottage industry at El Asmarat City, where he was received by Prime Minister Dr Mustafa Madbouly, Minister of Interior Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq and a number of other ministers and senior statesmen.
