Security services in Egypt arrested TikTok influence Mohamed Abdel-Hamid, known online as “Loshaa” on charges related to inappropriate content posted on social media platforms, coming as part of the state’s recent crackdown on ‘immoral’ influencers.
Security sources confirmed that legal measures are being taken against Loshaa, and the Public Prosecution has been notified to conduct the investigation.
A lawyer filed a complaint against Loshaa, accusing him of violating family and religious values and encouraging violence and moral decadence, particularly among children and adolescents, through his videos circulating on YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok.
The most prominent charges against Loshaa include inciting immorality, publishing clips featuring crude sexual innuendos, and displaying contempt for religion.
Some of his content included explicit mockery of religious terms and exploiting minors by involving young children in inappropriate scenes, potentially exposing them to psychological harm and media exploitation.
