Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Expatriate Affairs Badr Abdelatty held a series of phone calls with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi, following directives from President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to support regional de-escalation.
The communications aim to pave the way for resuming negotiations between Iran and the IAEA on the Iranian nuclear file and to bring the views of the different concerned parties closer to reach a sustainable settlement.
The efforts are part of a broader Egyptian push to reach understandings that help bridge gaps and revive negotiations between Iran, the United States, and the European E3 countries.
