CAIRO, Oct 28 (MENA) – Egypt has expressed its deep concern over the recent developments in the brotherly Republic of Sudan.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates called for all possible measures to be taken to achieve an immediate humanitarian truce across Sudan, leading to a permanent ceasefire that preserves civilian lives, safeguards their livelihoods, and protects the country’s resources.
The statement reaffirmed Egypt’s continued commitment to providing all possible support to help Sudan overcome its current crisis.
It also reiterated Egypt’s firm position in support of Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, as well as its national institutions, while rejecting any attempts to divide the country or undermine its unity and territorial cohesion. (MENA)
