
CAIRO/ ADDIS ABABA, Feb 14 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to the prime minister of Italy, the secretary general of the United Nations, and the presidents of Ghana, Kenya, Gabon, Tanzania, Somalia, Djibouti, and the Comoros on Saturday.
This came on the sidelines of his participation in the African Union Summit and the Africa–Italy Summit held in Addis Ababa.
The foreign minister affirmed Egypt’s commitment to strengthening its bilateral relations with its African sister nations across various fields, in a way that supports development and stability efforts in the continent.
For their part, the Italian prime minister and the African leaders asked that their greetings and deep appreciation be conveyed to the president, praising his role in supporting security and stability in Africa and the Middle East region,.
They also expressed their aspiration to continue coordination and joint cooperation in a manner that serves mutual interests. (MENA)
