The Iranian state news agency, IRNA, has reported that 36 students were killed at a school in southern Iran following a joint US-Israeli airstrike.
In the wake of the strikes, the Iran Civil Aviation Organization announced the total closure of the country’s airspace following explosions in the capital, Tehran.
Early Saturday morning, Washington and Tel Aviv launched a violent, large-scale offensive against Iran.
This follows weeks of military threats from President Donald Trump’s administration and a significant buildup of US forces in the Middle East for this purpose.
US President Trump announced the offensive in a televised video message, stating that “large-scale combat operations” had recently commenced across Iran.
