Emirates Airlines and Dubai Airports began a phased restoration of flight schedules at Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central as of Saturday afternoon.
The resumption follows a temporary grounding of operations triggered by the escalating regional conflict.
Travel guidelines for passengers
In an official statement, the Emirates confirmed that passengers holding confirmed bookings for Saturday afternoon departures are now permitted to proceed to the airport.
This directive extends to transit passengers whose connecting flights are confirmed as operational.
However, authorities at Dubai Airports cautioned that while partial operations have resumed, “schedules remain subject to ongoing adjustments.”
Travelers are urged to verify their flight status directly with carriers before heading to the terminal.
Safety protocols and precautionary measures
The Dubai Government Media Office clarified that the temporary suspension was a proactive measure aimed at ensuring the “safety of passengers, ground staff, and flight crews.”
Officials stated that the situation is being managed under “approved safety protocols,” reflecting a high state of alert across the UAE’s aviation infrastructure.
The impact of “True Promise IV”
The disruption follows nearly a week of severe volatility in Middle Eastern airspace.
On Friday, both Emirates and Etihad Airways initiated limited international services after a near-total shutdown.
This operational freeze was a consequence of the ongoing US-Israeli military campaign against Iran and Tehran’s retaliatory strikes against strategic targets across the Gulf region.
While the reopening of Dubai’s airspace signals a move toward stabilization, the aviation sector remains on high alert as the regional security situation continues to evolve.
