Egypt’s ambassador checks on citizen injured in recent Iranian attack on Kuwait

Ambassador to Kuwait Mohamed Gaber Abul Wafa visited an Egyptian citizen receiving treatment at a Kuwaiti hospital after being injured in the recent Iranian attack on Kuwait, in order to inquire after his health condition.

During the visit, the ambassador reviewed the health status of Mamdouh Abdel Aleem Arafa, whose condition has improved and stabilized, and wished him a speedy recovery.

Eight Egyptian nationals sustained varying injuries in the Iranian attack that recently targeted Kuwait International Airport. All received the necessary medical care and treatment.

Seven of the injured have since been discharged from hospital after their conditions improved, while Arafa remains hospitalized in stable condition and under medical observation.

The ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Kuwaiti authorities, particularly the interior and health ministries, for the care provided to the injured, praising the swift response and efficient handling of the incident’s aftermath.

Mohamed Gaber Abul Wafa said the response reflected Kuwait’s longstanding humanitarian approach under the leadership of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Gulf country’s commitment to ensuring the welfare and protection of all residents.

Abul Wafa reiterated Egypt’s firm support and full solidarity with Kuwait in the face of what he described as a criminal attack, stressing Cairo’s backing for all measures taken by Kuwait to safeguard its security, stability and vital facilities.

He also reaffirmed Egypt’s condemnation of such heinous Iranian attacks, deploring them as a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability and undermines efforts aimed at promoting peace and security across the region. (MENA)
