Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a phone conversation on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss bilateral relations and the latest regional developments.
The two ministers reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia and discussed ongoing coordination between the two countries on issues of mutual interest.
They also exchanged views on regional developments, particularly the Iranian crisis and its impact on regional security, stressing the importance of diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and preserve stability.
The talks addressed latest developments in Gaza, Lebanon, and Sudan. The two sides discussed ongoing efforts related to Gaza, stressed support for Lebanon’s security, stability, and state institutions, and underscored the importance of preserving Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity while supporting a lasting ceasefire and a political solution.
The ministers agreed to continue close consultation and coordination on regional issues in support of security and stability across the region.
