Rafah border crossing receives group of Palestinians returning to Gaza Strip

The Rafah land crossing in North Sinai received a new group of Palestinians returning to the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 .

Sources at the crossing said procedures were underway to facilitate the return of the group to Gaza after their arrival at the main terminal on the Egyptian side of the crossing.

The sources added that teams from the Egyptian Red Crescent received the returnees and were facilitating procedures in coordination with the relevant authorities, while also distributing return kits and providing psychological support for children.

Egyptian Red Crescent teams have been deployed at the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing to provide humanitarian services to Palestinians, including psychological support for children, family reunification services, winter clothing, personal hygiene supplies and the distribution of return kits to those heading back to the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, Egyptian authorities are preparing to receive a new group of wounded and sick Palestinians from Gaza for treatment at Egyptian hospitals.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health and population has established a medical point at the Rafah crossing to examine incoming patients, assess their conditions and transfer them to Egyptian hospitals using fully equipped ambulances.
