Two Egyptian pilots killed in 6th of October training plane crash

The Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation announced on Friday the deaths of a pilot and an instructor following a crash involving an Egyptian Aviation Academy training aircraft at the 6th of October Airport.

The ministry added in an official statement that the incident also left a female student pilot injured; she is currently receiving medical care.

According to the statement, the Minister of Civil Aviation, Sameh al-Hefny, ordered an immediate and urgent investigation by the ministry’s Central Administration for Aviation Accidents to cause behind the crash and provide a comprehensive review of all procedures related to the incident.

The minister assured that all necessary legal and administrative actions will be taken based on the investigation’s findings, asserting that there will be zero tolerance for any negligence proven by the inquiry.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation reaffirmed its full commitment to enforcing the highest safety and security standards, pledging to take all required measures following the investigation to reinforce the aviation safety system and ensure the maintenance of top-tier operational efficiency.
